Happy July and to this gorgeous start to summer (albeit a little hot!)
Dear Friends of Springfield Farm. How did we get to the seventh month of 2026? We have missed connecting with you, and hence, this newsletter is going to be brief, as we would rather welcome you at Springfield farm this summer: join us for our annual Bat Night on July 23rd, play the Gunpowder Disc Golf course or simply stroll through our managed forest and grab a picnic basket of our baked goodies, a thermos of coffee and sit and day dream in the Apple orchard.
We are embarking on some transformations (necessary restoration) of our large century dairy barn, a new course layout for the disc golf, and getting ready for the 2027 Maple syrup season as we enclose our new evaporator to turn sap into sweet goodness and welcome guests on snowshoes into the sugar bush.
Finally, we have taken over the Yurt as our farm office and we are launching a new accommodation on Airbnb – as they say Stay Tuned and please visit our website for details in the following days to book your unique experience at Springfield Farm.
Please grab a ticket or two for our annual Bat Night on July 23rd; and get ready to buy our certified organic garlic in August along with other delicious vegetables and Finbarr’s honey. Most importantly, we know you will find beauty here at Springfield Farm where truly a river runs through the fields.
