In the middle of June something special happens to garlic – it’s the 2nd gift of the garlic growing season in the form of a dark green Scape. This once discarded stem to the garlic flower is now used in culinary creations looking for a taste of garlic, onion – broiled on the bbq, or frozen for the days ahead when there is no longer fresh garlic.
